Best sourdough I've had in Japan. I had the strawberry mille-feuille, it was delicious. Lightly sweetened whipped cream, a velvety creamy vanilla custard, small tart strawberries, a buttery flaky crispy puff crust. The pâtissier is an artist and flavors were balanced. To drink, I ordered an Americano, well-brewed, dark chocolate notes, slightly fruity, nutty and delicious. If their pastry and coffee was that good I had to order the sourdough loaf to go. It is the best sourdough I've ever had in Japan. It isn't a Japanese style fluffy loaf. It is a flavorful sourdough loaf. Came home and ate half. Toasted with butter and gouda. It was crispy, crunchy, and everything you want in a sourdough. The crumb is scrumptious and the crust was perfect. If you love sourdough, you'll love this place. Many reviews talked about the price, it is in my opinion worth it. The baker has taken so much time and work to make a healthy and delicious loaf of bread that has taken days from start to finish.
