Jinya — Restaurant in Sendai

Jinya serves up a few blends of broth using Tonkotsu, Niboshi (Sardine), Chicken, and Miso, all with their house-made Soba noodles. It was certainly difficult to choose, so I ordered for the Special Heavy Niboshi Tonkotsu Soba for 1050¥ and for my friend, the Special Chicken Miso Soba for 1000¥. The larger size was free, so we both opted for the large.

The name of the ramen says it all, as my soup was nice, thick, and had a ton of sardine fish flavor with a hint of pork umami. The egg was absolutely spot-on; deeply flavorful, creamy, and cooked perfectly. The noodles were lovely and had a nice texture and the two types of pork were very delicious, soft, and flavorful. Their use of raw, chopped white onion to lighten the flavor was nice, but it was too overwhelming despite the strong broth and overall the broth was a bit too fishy for me. (It’s what I ordered, so I can’t hold that against them...) I really liked my friend’s order instead, as the chicken and miso had a lovely, rich, almost nutty taste to the soup.

If I only had the time and stomach, I would definitely come and try all their varieties. Definitely a meal worth...

大して感動も感慨もなく、１年前から値段だけが上がったものを正すする時間となりました。 辛さは自分で指定しているから分かるものの、旨みは格段に落ちたね。 こんなことになるなら仙台っ子ラーメンでも啜ってた方が良かったな。 名店が駄店になったのを如実に感じました。 もう訪れることはないかな、、

☑︎訪問１回目 仙台出身の後輩に聞いて、出張のついでに行きました。サービスや雰囲気は特段の差異は無い。だが、味は最高！特に季節ものの冷やしスーラータンメンは、人生で一番美味しいスーラータンメンでした。辛さもちょうど良く、冷やしだけに夏場でも辛いものを食べたい時に最高です。 都内ではこの値段でこの味はムリでしょうね。 また、同僚は皿台湾を注文し、こちらも最高とのことでした。ただ、やはり熱い料理だけに、食べた後汗びっしょりでした。 ３週続けて仙台出張なので、全て昼食...
