A small shop in a basement floor, Menryu offers a variety of ramen broths to suit a range of tastes, all at very reasonable prices. And a large order of noodles is free! Since I was still full from lunch, I ordered a regular-sized Tonkotsu Red Miso Ramen for 780¥ and added a flavored egg for 100¥.
While it wasn’t the most amazing ramen, I was happy to say the value was quite good. The nice, thick cut of chashu was good, but could’ve been a bit softer. The broth was slightly oily, though I could definitely tell the broth had a strong miso and tonkotsu pork base, with a bit of red pepper for some spice. The portion of noodles was amazing for being a regular portion, the egg was soft, and the onions and sprouts lightened the flavor.
