Pizzeria Pescatore — Restaurant in Shirahama

We arrived on a very windy day and they were booked out until 2.30pm. We had walked there and couldn’t come back but the lovely waitress offered for us to sit outside if we were ok with sitting in the cold wind (which for yummy pizza, we certainly were). And we proceeded to have the yummiest margarita pizza and delicious pasta ever. Better food than you will get in most places in Italy. Extremely cost-effective. Eat here instead of the tourist traps on the main beach. Make a reservation by calling at least a day before in Japanese.

Salads are excellent, pizzas authentic, tasty and well-made. Pastas are Japanese-Italian style but very high quality at that. Espresso is alright by Italian standards. Desserts fall a bit short of supreme standards of the main dishes, but still...

Absolutely incredible experience.. Food was amazing. Had the Margarita pizza with anchovies, pescatore pasta (which had plenty of seafood and was amazing), and the Italian salad.. Seriously Good food. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant and it's perfect setting along the beach front really make this feel like we took a trip to Italy and were dining by the sea.
