Great cafe by Nanko in Shirakawa. The warabi mochi goods and flower-scented oolong tea I ordered were fantastic. Plenty of options on the menu, including Nanko dango. 南湖公園の周辺にはだんご屋が何軒かありますが、安政４年創業から今でも営業しているという事は、さぞかしだんごが旨いのだろうと思い、このお店を選びました。

レトロなパッケージが気に入り、箱詰めのタイプを注文しましたが、２色混合が可能という事で、私はこしあんと春限定の桜あんを選択。

運良く直ぐに注文が出来たので早く商品が出来るのかと思いきや、注文してから10分近く待たされる感じ。

おそらく注文をしてからだんごを作る、というシステムなのだろう。

せっかちな方には不向きなのかもしれないが、逆に言えば作り置きをしないという拘りがあるのかもしれませんね。

また本日中にお食べ下さい、という事も添加物が一切入っていない拘りの美味しさだと思います。

早速こしあんを食べてみると、こ、これは旨い！

あんことだんご両方とも旨い。母方の実家が和菓子屋だっただけに、和菓子には拘りがあるが、これは素晴らしい。
