This was my very first omakase experience in my life, and I enjoyed it a lot. First of all, the owner made sushi right in front of me and served the food. He is a professional chef not only with a seafood certificate but with lots of experience. He knows how to make sushi well and brings a nice atmosphere at the restaurant. The quality of the food was all good. Green tea is also awesome. I would gladly love to give this restaurant my great applause. Strongly recommended!

He doesn't have a menu, you can order anything as long as he has the ingredients. Had omakase for 2 pax for 9000 yen. Every sushi is fresh and delicious, plus his warm character, I really can't see how anything can go wrong at Kuruma Sushi.

The owner was super friendly and spoke English, which is not so easy to find in Shizuoka. He conversed with me and my friend the whole time and was extremely generous with his servings. The food was very delicious. We ended the night with a photo together with the owner. I feel sad for not asking his name. I would definitely come here again and again.

This is an amazing spot. The sushi was so fresh and expertly made, for a reasonable price too. The owner was so welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we walked in.
