Chiaki — Restaurant in Susaki

Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Had lunch here during layover between trains. Ordinarily, would rate 2 stars, but hospitality of the people at the restaurant earns top rating! Great location across from station. Faults: crowded, understaffed, filled with tobacco and cooking smoke. Handwritten menu in Japanese only (which I don't read). Clientele working-class, noisy, all smoking. Kudos: Patrons, noticing my lack of Japanese skills, used mobile phone to call the only English-speaker known in town, to take my order and translate it. Excellent down-home Japanese meal served in a reasonable amount of time! My only regret was, train-time left me only 5 minutes...

須崎駅を出ると、徒歩10秒で着きます。壁を黄色く塗ってあるのが目印です。 店内はラーメン屋というよりも、喫茶店風です。

鍋焼きラーメンは並・大・特大がありますが、全般的に量はそれほど多くありません。そのぶん値段も高くはなく、特大でも税込￥700と、リーズナブルです。 お腹いっぱい食べようと思えば特大の注文をおススメします。 味はいかにも鍋焼きラーメンって感じで、美味しかったです。

2025年元旦に高知駅から普通列車で行きました。 お目当てのお店がお休みだったので、こちらのお店に伺いました。

店内は満員でお母さん一人で接客、調理だったので、かなり待ちましたが、ご当地の鍋焼きラーメンを初めて食べました。 朝のホテルビュッフェでがっつり食べたので、ライスは頼みませんでした。 他の人が頼んだものを見ましたが中でも山盛りでビックリ😅 ラーメンの中の生姜がきいていて、体が暖まりました😄

値段も破格の安さだなと思いました。
