Fabulous tiny local establishment selling a small but unique range of food - from shoyu-based ramen sets paired with you choice of gyoza/cha-han/stir fried veg/etc, plus other individual dishes. Recommend the sizzling hotplate chicken thighs with garlic, sweet potato with honey cheese, and the crispy potato cheese (sticks of potato grilled with melted cheese into a crispy crust in a hotplate). Amazing food, amazing service, local restaurant with no tourists (besides us). The chef was extremely friendly and kind, and his food and service were wonderful. The pork appetizer (#3 from the menu on the wall) and the fried chicken appetizer (#5 from that menu) were to die for. I had never had better pork. It melts in your mouth. The shoyu (soy) based ramen and the fried rice were great too. All that food (6 appetizers, 3 mains) and 4 carafes for sake...

We're a family traveling around the area. Staff is friendly and very helpful when it comes to communicating different languages. Very accommodating.

I highly recommend getting the Crispy Cheesy Okonomiyaki. The ramen cannot be wrong. We ordered a couple different ones including Tsukemen and they were fantastic. Domou arigatou...
