喫茶 こぶち — Restaurant in Tanabe

It was raining and I was waiting for a bus (the bus stop is right opposite this restaurant) when I decided to try out this place. An old lady was managing this place and was very kind and helpful. Based on her recommendations, I decided to try out a fish set, the fish being from the Oto river itself. The meal was delicious, and the view of the river and forests from the window opposite to me was great as well! The food was very decently priced, compared to the other overpriced restaurants...

A lovely place with very friendly staff it felt very much like a family run business and the food was delicious.

I highly recommend the zushi (mustard leaf wrapped rice) it was really great!

Also if you're looking for something unusual (if you're not from Japan) try the cream soda it is a melon soda with an actual ice cream in it!...

Only place around Kawayu that stays open till late. Even if you're staying at hotels nearby, chances are you wouldn't want to spend each night on buffets.
