Takenose — Restaurant in Tokushima

We are visiting from Denmark traveling around Japan. We’ve been eating at many restaurants being here for 2 weeks eating out everyday. Unfortunately we did not had the greatest experience. Of course we understand that English is not for everyone here in Japan. But we’ve been met with so many different nice people who met us with patients using for example google translate. At Takenose we were met by a man who not only kept speaking Japanese to us but seemed very annoyed by us visiting the restaurant. We sat down and was given Japanese menu cards. I made a big mistake and forgot to take of my shoes. Being a foreigner we unfortunately make mistakes which we of course changed right away and took of the shoes. The man was even more annoyed with us. The language barrier is usually a fun experience. Using google lens did not help trying to translate the menu card. The menu card was not eligible for translating. We decided to leave the restaurant. We did not got the chance to try the food and unfortunately did not seemed welcome as tourist. Sad. Hopefully foreigners can be welcomed another time? 😊 if not. A sign with “not speaking English” would save tourist some time and...

初めての徳島旅行の二日目の晩御飯でうかがいました。事前に色々と調べておりましたが、あいにく週末で人気店はどちらも予約なしでは入れなかったのですが、こちらは電話をしたところすんなりと入れました。メニューに単価がないので、とりあえず2人で飲み物別で5,000円/人の料理を板前の方と思しき方にお願いしました。（内容は刺身、天ぷら、肉料理などを用意できるとのお話しでした）いちおう初めての徳島旅行で来たと話していましたし、受け答えは良いので期待をしていたのですが、 1)連れはクジラは×と言っていたのに、1品 目の刺身で早速クジラが出ました。 2)なぜか焼き物でサーモンの明太子包み。 徳島名物なのでしょうか？酷い感性です。 3)肉料理が出ないで終わったので聞いたら 「予算的に出せません。焼き物は先ほどの サーモンです」との事。最初から言うべ き。 4)締めの寿司のネタが最初の刺身と被って いるところがこの店のセンスでしょう。 全体的に配慮が欠ける点や料理人の前掛けが汚れで真っ黒な点がこの店の実力を表しています。私も色々な店に行っていますが、根本的に料理人の実力不足です。あとは好みの問題ですが、特に初めて徳島に行かれる方はガッカリするので要注意です！この店の良い点数の理由はわかりません。 今回の旅行で食べログとGoogleで探...

5名で宴会させて頂きました。 料理は前菜、お造り、煮物、揚げ物、鍋、〆の雑炊。 追加で牡蠣とクエを注文しました。 味は最高で値段も良心的でした。 グルメな上司も大満足。

約20年振りに大将に会いましたが、昔と変わらずお元気で安心しました。 常に大将、従業員の元気な声が響いており、活気のある店だと感じました。

大変な時期だと思いますが頑張って下さい。 コロナが収まったら職場の宴会でお世話になろうと考えてます。
