Little gem sushi place in Itabashi. This is a small family run traditional sushi, the kind that are more difficult to find especially modern Tokyo district and we can enjoy when coming to Itabashi (a slightly excentred district). Not crowded and delicious fresh food.

滝野川の「みやこ鮨」さんに家族で行ってきました。住宅街の中にある昔ながらのお寿司屋さんで、外観もどこか落ち着く感じ。地元に長く愛されてそうな雰囲気があります。 私たちはお座敷に通してもらい、まずは刺身やつまみ系をいくつか注文。どれも新鮮で丁寧に出してくれて、お酒にも合う感じでした。 そのあと、締めにお寿司の上にぎりをいただきました。ネタがどれも美味しくて、中でも中トロとアジは特に印象に残りました。大将が一つ一つ丁寧に握ってくれているのが伝わってきます。 お店全体が落ち着いた雰囲気で、家族連れでもゆっくりできました。お値段も良心的で、この内容なら納得です。 滝野川周辺でちょっといい和食やお寿司を家族で楽しみたい時にぴったりのお店だと思います。

I do not know why this sushi place gets all these stars.

The first time we went, it was closed, even though it should have been open (I signaled this to Google maps). We went to a Korean place to eat and we saw the owners eating there, in this Korean place... no comment (they saw us looking for and did not show up to explain why their sushi place was closed).

We tried again today for dinner (around 7:30pm), there was a free table but they refused us saying that the fish was over, which sounded a bit artificial. BTW we found a wonderful sushi place nearby (see my other revisions), and we will never...
