吉野鮨 — Restaurant in Tokyo

Went in right between lunch and dinner time so we got to sit with the chef alone. He was incredibly kind and made us feel very welcome in the homely small space. Watching him work was an absolute delight since every piece of the delicious food was made right in front of us. The omakase was the best sushi we've ever had. I cannot stress enough how good the food was. Great food, great atmosphere, great chef. Everything about this restaurant was great. It is a full experience so it does take a little time so be ready to enjoy it for the full amount of time....

WOW! I’m so glad we went here!! we were a bit early for dinner so we sat alone with the chef. It was very intimate—lovely service! We had the omakase, the food was amazing! The chats with the chef in half English/japanese & Google translate were so fun. The sweet man even gave us little trinkets to take with! The place is cluttered but it makes the ambience so interesting. I would love to go back to Tokyo one day just to sit with the chef again and learn more about his life! Just had the most incredible sushi omakase experience for dinner. The place was small but neat and peaceful. The chef went out of his way to make us feel welcome even though we didn't understand much Japanese. We had a selection of delicious food including tuna, salmon, eel (unagi), possibly abalone, mackerel, miso mushroom soup, egg omelette (tamagoyaki), japanese yam and ice cream.
