We booked a family room here for a week. It comprised 2 single beds in one bedroom, a double bed in the second. There was a kitchen dining room with a table and four chairs. There was a 3ring gas hob, but no oven or grill. There was a small fridge with a freezer compartment. The bathroom had a seperate toliet room with one of those cool Japanese electric toilets, a separate Shower with a deep short bath, and a central area with washbasin and washing machine. There were clear instructions for the washing machine in English. There was also a small balcony with nice views of the Skytree. The balcony had a cleverly placed washing line which used waste heat from the air conditioning to dry clothes very quickly. There were two air conditioners; one in each bedroom. Location is excellent. There are two train stations within 500m; Shin-Mikiwashima and Mikiwashima. The latter provides easy connections to Tokyo station, Shinjuku, etc. There's a supermarket 3 doors up which sells a wide range of food and beer, and opens till 10pm. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We even managed to get pizzas delivered one night. Only slight criticism is that the crockery / utensils supplied were somewhat Spartan. There was one knife for example. As I am writing this, I am sipping a nice Japanese beer; from the can as there are no glasses. Overall a good spacious apartment in a great location. If you are coming here, steal those plastic knives and forks they give you on the aeroplane. They will come...
Read moreThis hotel must’ve been amazing when it just opened. Unfortunately, they haven’t really kept up with cleaning and maintenance so it was a little unnerving. As other people have complained, the couch has clear stains on it. It’s basically the first thing you see, so it’s quite the first impression. It also had black lint on it, so they don’t seem to be cleaning that well. It’s a pattern throughout the place: the toilet has some piss stains behind the seat, the washing machine has leftover detergent in it, etc. it makes you wonder, what other problems can I not see? One night, the toilet room reeked of shrimp and another, the shower room smelled like cup noodles… huh? We put out the trash according to the instructions but it wasn’t replaced so then our trash was overflowing. The staff are nice and the room is spacious. It’s hard to get such a big space for the price. It’s less than 5 minutes to Machiya station, around 15 minutes to Mikawajima station, and there’s a few convenient bus lines around too. The nearby station is actually a bit audible, and so is the daily traffic so I don’t think it’s suitable for super light sleepers. I wouldn’t stay here again, due to the...
Read moreSpacious for 4 of us. The building had a total of 8 floors with elevator function and ours had the whole floor to ourselves. The water were a lil too cold with lack of pressure but we managed to fill the bath for more efficient water supply as an alternative. It was almost impossible to wash plates due to the cold water in winter so, we had to take warm water from the bath using a basin. Others were great and all amenities were provided well enough. In conclusion, the house is quite cozy and I would recommend for traveller who would like to experience a local neighborhood. 100 yen lawson store were just a building away & the train + bus station is 5-6mins walk respectively. Easily accessible to main area with bus if you know how to ride the correct one. We arrived a lil too early in Narita & called the customer service to ask if its possible for early check-in. They guided us through & we were told to recheck with staff in the building which was helpful too. We managed to check in 1-2 hours earlier which is very good because we had other itinerary after that. Would stay here again as the price is affordable & such a steal for...
