I was Tokyo Art House's first guest in December last year and really enjoyed my stay there! Since booking.com won't allow me review, I'll just leave it here:||||Tokyo Art House is suberbly staffed! The host, Satoru-san who is also the house owner, is extremly nice, forthcoming, and attentive. He speaks fluent English. The hostel itself is a small but cute place. All in all, how much you'll enjoy your stay depends on what you are expecting. Sadly, the guest house cannot provide a big living or common room. The one which exists hosts a refrigerator, a microwave, multiple sinks, and space for a maximum of three to four people to sit. The mixed dorms downstairs also do not come equipped with the kitchen. The one which can be seen on the booking page is only available to guests of the upstairs dorm, as it says in the description.||||The beds in the dorm room are comfy and come equipped with a curtain. Out the back and on the rooftop, there are more common spaces, which will be especially nice come summer. Washing machines placed in the area out back are for free. Only women are allowed to also use a wascher-dryer combi located on the forth floor for a few hundred yen (this policy might have been revised). Who wants to wash without spending any money can dry their laundry on the rooftop.||||As the Art House just recently openend, the facilities are really new and up to date. I can only speak for the period of time I've stayed, but the hostel was very clean as well. ||||The hostel it is located quite far from the city centre. However, access is still really easy. After taking the local line for one station, Nishi-Nippori station allows access to the Yamanote Line, which heads straight for famous spots such as Shinjuku (40 min), Shibuya, Tokyo station and Akihabara. The hostel is also in close quaters to Ueno, with it's beautiful park and renowned museums. ||||So, if you want to stay in a nice neighbourhood (cute little shopping streets and old-Tokyo-flair just around the corner) I recommend choosing Tokyo...
Read moreTokyo Art House offers more than just a place to rest your head; it provides a truly welcoming and comfortable stay, largely thanks to its outstanding service. From check-in to check-out, the staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with a smile. They efficiently handled all my requests and offered helpful local tips that enhanced my exploration of the city.
What truly stood out, however, was the remarkable generosity of the attendant or owner. After I explained that I needed help receiving a package from Kyoto but lacked the time due to my itinerary, this individual went above and beyond to personally receive it for me. This unexpected act of kindness and willingness to assist made me feel incredibly well-cared for and truly appreciated as a guest.
Beyond the clean and comfortable accommodations, it's the exceptional service and the genuine generosity I experienced that make Tokyo Art House a standout choice. It's clear they prioritize their guests' comfort and are dedicated to creating a positive and memorable stay. I wholeheartedly recommend Tokyo Art House to anyone looking for a welcoming and hospitable place to stay in Tokyo.

Read moreI wanted to leave a review for the Tokyo art house hotel on Google. Tokyo is a massive city and the best place to stay is somewhere on the yamanote line so you can go easily around the city. Given the time of year we went (peak cherry blossom season) everything was packed and what was left was too expensive. We stayed here and had a great time. Private Room was comfortable and big everything was super clean and the owner was very friendly and was able to help with everything. If you wanted to stay a little bit out of town it would be perfect. As is it's a little bit of a trek (20 mins or so) before you are in major areas like Shibuya Shinjuku etc. Not a big deal but if you are coming and going a couple of times a day it wears on you a bit. Great place though great friendly owner and talented...
