Chartier — Restaurant in Tokyo

Questionably affordable lunch sets which include, salad, bread or rice, and a main dish, but not sure if it quite resembled the French cuisine I had anticipated.

And by questionably affordable, I mean that even though the price seemed reasonable, the steak I ordered was a measly overcooked sliver of meat that felt like something I could have made myself at home. For the price in comparison to the portion and quality, I wasn’t too impressed.

Service-wise, there was 1 woman running the cash register and taking orders and 1 man cooking in the back. From the second I stepped in, the woman was frantic and it felt like she was panicking to keep pace with the kitchen… but there weren’t that many customers present. It was hard to tell if she was new, or didn’t work well under stress because the chef could be heard scolding her from the kitchen in the background. Either way, it didn’t feel very hospitable.

As for the ambiance, it seems like the restaurant was just renovated? Although clean and decorated with a cute, calming color palette, there was still a faint lingering...

Restaurant Chartier in English. Charming little French place, reputedly the chef trained in France. More of a Provençal style, seafood and some eclectic dishes. Great decor of wine bottles back to the 70s, great service and extremely cheap prices for the quality...

こんな近くに安くBYO出来るワインと食事を楽しめるお店があったとは！もっと早くに伺っておくべきでした。

お店の前は何度も通ってるのに何故かお邪魔出来ていなかったシャルティエさんに平日ランチでお邪魔しました。 口コミでも評判良かった牛肉の赤ワイン煮込みをお願いしました。トロトロになって味が染み込んだ牛肉好きなんですよねー。これまではご飯のおかずと言うよりはワインと一緒に楽しむ事が多かったですがこれはこれでありですね！非常に柔らかく濃い味付けのお肉がライスと相性も良く美味しかったです。

そして料理を待っている時に気がついたBYOの文字！しかも一人1本500円、2本目からは200円って安い！近くにセブンもあるのでリーズナブルなボトルワインを購入して持ち込めば美味しい料理とボトルワインがBYO込みで1500円くらいで楽しめる！これは近いう...
