Came here for breakfast to kick off my birthday. I’ve been wanting to try Japanese pancakes but kept hearing about long wait times at different places. Enter Fuku Cafe. It’s a few minutes outside Asakusa in a quiet neighborhood. The shop is super cute. I ordered the caramel pancakes with a coffee and a side of chocolate. These cakes were big and fluffy and SO GOOD!! They do make it to order so it takes about 20 or so minutes to make. The owners were very nice. They have many options for pancakes and they serve some regular western breakfast items as well. I was hoping to go back again before the end of my trip but they’re only open Thursday-Monday. Highly recommend this place!!

Highly recommend this place! We came here because we were staying at an Airbnb that was a few minutes walk away. We went on a weekday around 11 and there was no wait. The staff was really kind and patient with us (as we speak English). The menu is mostly in Japanese, but there is enough English on it to be able to understand what you are ordering. The pancakes were so so fluffy and delicious! It took about 20 minutes for them to prepare our meals, but I was okay with that because it meant it was fresh. The cost was around 1500 yen (~$15) per meal. But the meals were incredibly delicious and filling. I am sad we didn't come here more before leaving Tokyo!

We came here just before the 10:00 a.m. opening. Only a solo and another couple in front of us. When the door opened at 10 everyone in line was seated. There was no one behind us. Three other couple came in over the next 30 minutes but there was still seating available. The food took a little while to arrive but you could tell they were taking the time to prepare the food with care. This was probably the best pancakes I have ever had in my life. I'm 65 and I have eaten a lot of pancakes over the years. Very good coffee too. Highly recommended.

I'm writing this review while I'm sitting here in Fuku Cafe, which is in Senzoku.

I'm writing this review now, for 2 reasons....

I almost can't contain my enthusiasm about this place.

If I don't find a way to distract myself, I will eat ALL of my pancakes, and my wife's food as well!

This place serves amazing pancakes....and my writing that, doesn't do them justice.

I've never had pancakes like this....in fact I've never even heard of pancakes like this before!

They're so light, they almost float off your plate! They remind me a little of angel food cake, but lighter, fluffier, and even more delicious!

If you're in Taito City and you don't stop in here for breakfast l, you're truly...
