I have worked in Japan for a couple of years now. Whenever I get frustrated with the xenophobia or over the top COVID responses, I come here. It's a place teeming with energy and captures a lot of what had been missing the last three years in Japan.
Food wise you can eat everything from sushi, oden, and yakitori to Chinese food and tacos while experiencing oyster and wine bars. Most of the menus are in English and the restaurants serve local alcohols in a friendly environment. I cannot recommend coming here enough if you are in the Tachikawa station area.
