The best coffee in Kichijoji, period. Get beans roasted, and sit and enjoy perfect coffee while you wait. Run by a nice, bright couple who are super into coffee.

Other reviews mention that "they were thrown out/yelled at 'Get Out!' " because they had a large party or they brought small children. LOL: While small children might not be welcome, this couple isn't "yelling at anyone to leave", such exaggeration. The couple is earnest and extremely kind and welcoming.

Smell of roasting coffee beans pushed outside by the exhaust fan - sucks you in to see the boxes of green beans and 3 mini-roasters working - no English menu but we ordered an affogatto and an iced coffee with ice cream. Cosy dark wood inside - a serious coffee shop!

A confusion - my affogatto came cold in a tea cup and saucer and I could not see or taste any coffee, just ice cream - when I asked the maker she said yes I mixed it already!

Our iced coffee came in a tall glass - black with ice cream - and was delicious. We poured some of that into my ice cream to make a semblance of the affogatto I'm familiar with.

Stopped by this coffee shop for the first time and had an amazing experience. What really stood out was getting to see direct fire roasting in action — something I’ve never seen before! It was fascinating to watch and really added to the whole atmosphere.
