A cute restaurant set in a wooden house offering soup curry with so many combinations. You start off choosing the meat (or just all vegs) with either 12 or 20 kinds of vegs like lotus root, carrots, eggplant etc, then the curry soup base (either standard or with miso base, either with coconut milk or not), spiciness level then the amount of rice. I picked the grilled chicken thigh with 12 types of veg in the standard curry and it comes in a large bowl of soup curry that’s very rich and tasty. You only get one per type of veg but they are all fresh. The lassi is another good addition to the meal which I ordered the yuzu honey lassi and the seasonal special pear lassi which are both very refreshing. A very nice lunch spot worth stopping by in the area!

This is, hands down, one of best soup curries I had.

Rojiura Curry Samurai is a hidden spot in Kichijoji area and the ambiance is relaxed & cozy. There was a line during lunch time on a weekday and the wait is about 1 hour.

They serve the best soup curry I have ever had, we tried the most popular one: chicken with 20 veggies and pork with 13 veggies. After deciding the entree of order, you can choose how spicy you want and the portion of rice with different price points.

The veggies in the curry vary every day based on different seasons and the quality in the market in order to keep the freshness, so I highly recommend to have 20 kinds of veggies.

One of the best meals we had in a month in Tokyo. Vegetables are hard to come by in Japan, and after two months of travelling the country we stumbled on Rojiura Curry Samurai after our visit to the Ghibli Museum.

Prices range from about 1100 yen to 1500 yen for most dishes including tax. The "Normal" spicy level (Level 1) is already quite spicy, so you may want to choose level 0 if you have no tolerance at all.
