I thought this will be really similar to Nishino since they are sister shops selling similar items but nope i was wrong, King Seimen is leaps and bounds better than Nishino. the soup here is deeper and more flavorful and the thicker rustic hand made noodles removed the need to ask for harder noodles since it came with a nice natural chew. Nishino was really disappointing to me from how soggy the noodle got as we can’t ask for harder noodles.

im not a fan of japanese style wanton in general since they feel more than boiled dimsum than the wanton im used to in singapore, so i shall sit out of rating it, but the wanton here is still the usual japanese style wantons and people seem to love it.

i really like the chashu and little bunch of komatsuna and rhe soup and noodle combination made me so happy while eating it. this is a bow i will crave again and i cant wait to...

This was highly recommended by Juri Matsumoto (the owner of Ramen Matsu in Closter, NJ) so we had to check it out. It’s tucked into a very local area in Kita. The light sardine broth was absolutely amazing with deep flavors. I definitely recommend Zenbu Iri Won Ton Men for your first time over the Sancho. I liked the Sancho ramen too which had a citrus hint that brought a nice balance to the soup. Halfway into the ramen, add a little of their chili on the table (you won’t be disappointed). Their shrimp and pork wontons tasted like I was transported back to Hong Kong (it was my first time having wontons in my ramen so it was such a unique touch). Their eggs were also very flavorful. You get to choose either 200g or 300g of ramen for the same price. FYI, it is cash only via a...

King Seimen is located in a quiet residential area near the Oji Station. Went there 30 minutes before its closing time on a weekday and there was still a queue. Ordered the Tokusei Sansho ramen (Japanese pepper ramen with all toppings); and the Sansho gives a heightened accent which adds to the flavour of the soup. Like most shops from the Koike group, King seimen offers high quality noodles. The thick chewy noodles here are quite remarkable and definitely live up to my expectation of the...
