This café is a sister shop of one I often visit in Monzennakacho. The space is open and airy, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The walls are decorated with stylish artwork, which adds a nice touch. You can also see the coffee roaster, which I find pretty interesting.
Menus are displayed on a tablet at the order counter, but I think having a paper menu would be helpful, too. The selection includes hand-brewed coffees, espresso drinks, and other beverages. For the hand-brewed coffees, you can talk to the staff to choose your beans. They also offer a good variety of food and sweets.
By the way, "hand-brewed coffee" is listed as "pour over" on the menu. A Japanese friend who came with me realized from the menu that “hand-drip” is actually Japlish.

Adding to this, it’s spacious, it’s quiet, plenty of electrical outlets and generic food options to keep you fuelled.
Only drawback I can think of is the price range. Spending in the upper ¥600’s for any drink is quite much, but then again that’s become the norm for Tokyo - very few places in Tokyo charge at a lower rate (not including chains and combini’s).
Fair to say, as a resident it’s super great to have a place like this nearby.
5 stars for everything, but food is...
Read moreThis slightly out-of-the-way (soon to be very much in the way - in a nice way- as Takanawa Gateway develops) coffee shop has excellent coffee. Three beans to choose from, nicely roasted to bring out the best of each variety. I had a slight issue with a coffee I bought and they did everything right to correct the problem. Impressed by the care and attention they took. The environment is pleasant, but it is an office building so the surroundings are a bit bland. Still, as I mentioned, next to Takanawa Gateway and the area is changing rapidly. Great coffee, nice croissants (7/10)...
