Kurashiki Coffee — Restaurant in Tokyo

A relative newcomer in the cafes of Toritsu-Daigaku. Right behind the station (U-turn when you exit the gates to find it).

I like: Their terrasse Their siphon cafe (fun concept, even if it is not the best coffee in the universe), and the information provided about the roasts available The "morning service", a free mini morning set, egg and bread provided with the coffee

I dislike the slightly "formal" atmosphere with the staff, not as casual as in Excelsior cafe...

2023.8長期休暇の時期だからか平日昼頃でも満席。でもほどなくして入店。　ぶどうの樹…オリーブ…？のようなソファの柄が洒落てる。　Free Wi-Fiもあって、皆さん長話や作業など結構ゆったり過ごされています。 いろんな店員さんがいらっしゃいましたが、めちゃくちゃ優しい〜〜〜男性店員さんに感動しました　勢いで倉敷ブレンド（490円）を頼んだらサイフォンごと提供されて飲み方が分からず、これってどうやってノムンデスカ?!!とコミュ障を発揮して聞いたらニコニコと優しく教えてくださいました　黒いハンドルを持ち慎重にカップへ注ぐ。。。楽しい！笑　これだけで一つのアクティビティです。　そしてこれまた勢いで”濃いめ”にしたら人生で一番濃く深い苦味に遭遇しこれまた、たまげました....

This place is always packed, most of the time it just seems to be people hanging out. They do actually have 2-3 tables outside which makes me feel better during the pandemic. Most people here get the fancy drip coffee, but honestly it just looks cool — the coffee is just ok. This might be a good spot if you are having a business meeting...
