Mmm, I’m a bit underwhelmed by the hyped up reviews raving about the affordability of this cafe.
But let’s start with the good — the cafe has a really great view from the second story which is optimal for people watching since it’s only a 5 minute walk from the station. The baguettes served with butter and jam from the morning set also did have reminiscent flavors of my time in Paris and the music selection was fairly eclectic.
As for the drip coffee, it was decent but I understood the value when I tasted it — better than the conbini but nothing to rave about.
When it came to service, I was a bit disappointed. It took close to 20 minutes for my coffee and a cold baguette with butter and jam to be served. Also, since the 1st floor has a takeout bakery and you have to go up a slim, spiral stairwell to get to the 2nd floor, I didn’t appreciate today when the worker from 1st floor tried to rush past me in the narrow staircase to retrieve plastic utensils for a customer downstairs as if it was an urgent emergency. I like the baguettes here. The croissants/chocolate croissants are quite different than the ones over at Trasparente! Less flaky....

They seem to have daily specials but we missed the curry bread.
