Yup, I’m going to be that reviewer - the American in Tokyo, just going for a cup o’ joe. We DID use the tiny bit of Japanese we know as we entered to say hello/good morning. Literally zero other customers in the shop or behind us. After we ordered it seemed like we were really taxing the counter person by trying to count out coins to pay - which yes, we were perfectly capable of doing, we’ve been to Japan before, have been in the country for three weeks this time, and know how to count and add - but we were just taking a moment because there were two of us pooling funds and again, we were literally the only customers. Counter person interjected that it would just be easier to “use the one with the hole in it,” as if coin denominations were too difficult to comprehend. Maybe she was “being nice,” and runs into this a lot with foreigners but well, that’s what happens in service positions in big cities. My daughter was a barista for over a decade in New York City, the stories she could tell… Anyway, the actual coffee was great and the two baked goods we purchased were delicious, but we didn’t stay at the shop to make a high or low rating assessment of the atmosphere but it’s definitely cute and...
Read moreReally cute place with great coffee! I came during an odd hour on the weekday so I didn't need to wait long and quickly found an available seat inside. I ordered an iced cafe latte and it was very good ☕️ It leans more towards the bitter side which I always appreciate 😋 I also loved the interior and atmosphere of the cafe itself since it was small and very cozy. The woman who took my order and the baristas were all very friendly and greeted me with a smile! They also looked super cool and fashionable 🤩
P.S. I saw quite a few people leave negative reviews regarding their no laptop policy but if you badly need to do work then why not just go to bigger cafes that offer free wifi 🤷♀️ I think it's unfair to rate this place so low just because they want more people to be able to sit inside but that's just my...
Read moreCame with my wife who wanted to try the specialty coffee and buy beans to try later. I am not a coffee enthousiaste but was happy to go there. One coffee is ordered and I don’t take anything because I don’t want coffee and we’re not staying the day here. Anyway, the waiter makes me understand that if I don’t take anything I should better go. He suggested me a limonade and they pretended not to understand. I said that we want to buy coffee and that we’re not staying long. But no.. so go somewhere else if you want to take 5min to enjoy a coffee ! Coffee is good (according to my wife) but it doesn’t weight up...
