I’d say this was such a steal. The chef was friendly. You’ll need to be a little patient as everything is made to order. Come here before Twitter tells you it’s overrated.

高円寺駅南口から徒歩10分位の所、パル商店街を通ってエトアール商店街に入り真っ直ぐ行くとある 60年続くお寿司屋さん、店内のメニューに値段はありません、外の看板にお魚の値段が少し書いてある位です お刺身盛り合わせ・穴子の白焼を注文、お魚もおいしくて、わさびも本格的なものでした、お寿司は小さめのシャリで黒酢で握っていて、とても美味しかったです 本日は生ビール(アサヒスーパードライ)2杯 日本酒3合、緑茶割り2杯、お寿司はにぎり16貫くらいと巻物3皿食べて2人で17000円位でした 営業終わり頃行ってしまったので、うに・いくらなどのネタが終わってしまっていてネタは少なめだったので 味と比較した価格は安かったように感じます 美味しかったです ごちそうさまでした

Quaint, traditional place with quality sushi. Service was great and they had an English menu available too. The chef could speak some English too and was able to explain which fishes the sushi sets were. We ordered some sake along with the ¥2,000 and ¥3,000 sets - both were great, biggest difference was the cut of tuna. Special mention to the uni (absolutely no fishiness) and squid (great bite and creamy). Would definitely...
