I've been here several times and wanted to like this place but there were just too many cons. I used to be a server for over 10 years so I have understanding when restaurants have bad nights but this place is just consistent with its cons.

  1. The food is good but not worth the price. There are plenty other places that offer better quality food for the same price.
  2. The service is EXTREMELY slow. Even when it's only me and a friend in the whole restaurant, it took about 30 mins for our food. Last time we went it was a group of 4 of us and they were a little busy so we understood that it was going to be slower than usual but we didnt expect it to be as bad as it was. It took them 30 mins to get us our drinks. Even when it was only my party and one other party of 3 left in the restaurant we were waiting just as long. We wanted to have a few rounds of drinks but stopped at 2 because waiting 30-45 mins for a drink (even a simple one) wasnt worth it. We stayed there for maybe a little over 2 hours and we were all were annoyed and just wanted to get out.
  3. Poor service overall: they aren't very friendly. They just get straight to the point and have an impatient look on their face the whole time and are not very helpful when we would ask questions, they would just say "I dont know". When my party was there, our server had no idea what was actually on the menu. When I ordered my drink(coffee and baileys) , he said ok and about 20 to 30 mins later when I asked what was taking so long he said that they don't have it on the menu. I told him it was and then he noticed it...so was he just not going to serve it to me and hoped I forgot because he didn't read the menu? It wasn't worth the wait Before my drink issue, my friend ordered chips and guacamole. We asked about it 30-45 mins later and they said they were making it. At this time, the restaurant only had 2 other tables. My friend covered the tab and paid thinking the chips were coming out. It turned out they forgot about them and LIED when they said they were making them. They never even started on them even after we asked about them. Overall, we waited about an hour and paid for chips that were never going to come.
  4. Inconsistency, the margaritas are good depending on who makes them. We would order the same ones and they were different every time and different not on a good way.

Usually when the older male server helps us(the owner maybe?), we dont have much of an issue. He's not very friendly and it's still slow but its bearable but the younger male server on Saturday nights is horrible. He didnt know anything about the food or drinks and wouldn't communicate properly to the customers or...

TLDR: Not the best Mexican food ever but far from the worst, and excellent for Japan.

Full story: This place is a lot like restaurants I go to in America like Rancho Viejo. Friendly staff, they speak English even if the menu is almost all katakana. Naturally, if you want to know what is in something, just ask and they'll be happy to explain.

The location is right next to the Fussa JR station, maybe 5 minutes brisk walk. The inside is clean and not crowded, but cozy.

The clientele is 90% foreigner. I saw a pair of young Asian guys come in near the end of my meal. Mostly it's English speaking families who come, with kids, so it can get a tad noisy for a Japanese restaurant.

The food is good. It's definitely texmex. The spicy is not at all so I worry that the mild will just be bland. I had the hungry hombre, because I was. Spicy chicken enchilada, spicy beef burrito (fork and knife kind), and beef soft taco. The taco was a but wet but the beef was well seasoned and worked good with the other stuff on top. I can see why someone would think the bean taco bland though. It isn't the best texmex I've eaten but it was good and hit the spot. I can't comment on the booze because I don't drink but they had big bowl margaritas.

The waiting time wasn't bad, about 20 minutes and they were busy. I could see they were rushing to keep up, and they got full quickly so some people had to be turned away.

I would highly recommend anyone with a hankering for texmex to check this place out. It's not a bad fare from Tachikawa, and it's worth the trip. As for the price....well, it was just over 2000 yen for mine.i got a Coke though, and the most expensive set, so if you just go for food, likely you'll pay less than...

First time I have been here with my wife. First, I want to say I am glad they also have a corn tortillas option since my spouse is gluten intolerant.

Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cleanliness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Food taste: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Availability: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

While there isn't much parking available for this restaurant, it is about a 20-minute walk from Yokota Air Base Fussa Gate and 15 from the main gate. I did, however, park in the Welpark lot, which was about a 2-minute walk. (Don't worry, I stopped by and bought snacks after dinner)

The place was clean, with plenty of room, and the food service was excellent. It wasn't busy around 1800, but a few couples came in after. The male server speaks English, by the way. I didn't know that when I entered.

After ordering, our food came out extremely quickly in less than 10 minutes. The presentation was good. I ordered the Hungry Hombre, which was a fair price of 1700 yen. It came with an enchilada, burrito, soft/hard taco, tiny rice, and refried beans. I was full from the meal. I wish they had something spicier for me. I grew up in Los Angeles, so my tolerance is pretty high. Hot sauce would've been a great addition.

I will come back again and try a...

I have to say, I haven't been this impressed in the 4 years I've been in Japan. I live in tokyo and I'll take a train ride for 1hr 30 mins just to eat here. I had the combo enchilada, taco and burrito. It was all delicious, on particular the chicken enchilada and beef taco. It reminded me of being back home in Arizona. The smells, the flavors. I had a coronarita too. It was good as expected but the corona is the regular size. Probably hard to get the small bottles in Japan. The only slight downside is the soft taco is flour toritta not corn, but it is tex mex. In terms of desert I got the cinnamon tortilla and ice cream. My God that was delicious. A great way to end the meal and it didn't feel too heavy. It was my favorite desert I've had in a long time. I recommend it all. My ladies pictures are posted, I was too into the food to take pics.

i love Mikes! best tex mex restaurant here in japan. i used to go to Mike’s Higashi Rinkan 8-10 years ago. It is my first time to try in Fussa for lunch. Lunch menu sets are discounted (100yen off). Ordered nachos and guacamole, lunch set d ( tacos, quesadilla ), jalapeno poppers guac - i feel it lacks of saltiness jalapeno poppers - didnt feel the jalapenos inside :( lunch set d - was just okay. service and staffs were awesome as always. i want to give it a try again soon and have my favorite cadillac margarita! :)
