I've been here several times and wanted to like this place but there were just too many cons. I used to be a server for over 10 years so I have understanding when restaurants have bad nights but this place is just consistent with its cons.
Usually when the older male server helps us(the owner maybe?), we dont have much of an issue. He's not very friendly and it's still slow but its bearable but the younger male server on Saturday nights is horrible. He didnt know anything about the food or drinks and wouldn't communicate properly to the customers or...
Read moreTLDR: Not the best Mexican food ever but far from the worst, and excellent for Japan.
Full story: This place is a lot like restaurants I go to in America like Rancho Viejo. Friendly staff, they speak English even if the menu is almost all katakana. Naturally, if you want to know what is in something, just ask and they'll be happy to explain.
The location is right next to the Fussa JR station, maybe 5 minutes brisk walk. The inside is clean and not crowded, but cozy.
The clientele is 90% foreigner. I saw a pair of young Asian guys come in near the end of my meal. Mostly it's English speaking families who come, with kids, so it can get a tad noisy for a Japanese restaurant.
The food is good. It's definitely texmex. The spicy is not at all so I worry that the mild will just be bland. I had the hungry hombre, because I was. Spicy chicken enchilada, spicy beef burrito (fork and knife kind), and beef soft taco. The taco was a but wet but the beef was well seasoned and worked good with the other stuff on top. I can see why someone would think the bean taco bland though. It isn't the best texmex I've eaten but it was good and hit the spot. I can't comment on the booze because I don't drink but they had big bowl margaritas.
The waiting time wasn't bad, about 20 minutes and they were busy. I could see they were rushing to keep up, and they got full quickly so some people had to be turned away.
I would highly recommend anyone with a hankering for texmex to check this place out. It's not a bad fare from Tachikawa, and it's worth the trip. As for the price....well, it was just over 2000 yen for mine.i got a Coke though, and the most expensive set, so if you just go for food, likely you'll pay less than...
Read moreFirst time I have been here with my wife. First, I want to say I am glad they also have a corn tortillas option since my spouse is gluten intolerant.

While there isn't much parking available for this restaurant, it is about a 20-minute walk from Yokota Air Base Fussa Gate and 15 from the main gate. I did, however, park in the Welpark lot, which was about a 2-minute walk. (Don't worry, I stopped by and bought snacks after dinner)
The place was clean, with plenty of room, and the food service was excellent. It wasn't busy around 1800, but a few couples came in after. The male server speaks English, by the way. I didn't know that when I entered.
After ordering, our food came out extremely quickly in less than 10 minutes. The presentation was good. I ordered the Hungry Hombre, which was a fair price of 1700 yen. It came with an enchilada, burrito, soft/hard taco, tiny rice, and refried beans. I was full from the meal. I wish they had something spicier for me. I grew up in Los Angeles, so my tolerance is pretty high. Hot sauce would've been a great addition.
I will come back again and try a...
