I've been craving Vietnamese food for quite a while and don't want to travel too far to get my pho fix.
To be frank, this is not pho and their menu doesn't mention pho either. The noodles are definitely not pho. However, it is absolutely delicious and helps my cravings.
For the price, this is a really tasty and good meal. It comes with a spring roll (if you have a peanut allergy beware because this does contain peanut butter) which is incredibly fresh.
We came at the tail end of their lunch hour and thankfully we were able to get seats inside. Although it was blazing hot outside, the temperature inside was very cool and that is much appreciated when you are eating hot noodles. The noodles did take a bit to come out but since it is a 1 man establishment, we didn't mind especially since we were not in a rush. The wait was definitely worth it!
I also got a Vietnamese iced coffee for 200 yen extra. It was actually really tasty! I had mine made with condensed milk since straight Vietnamese coffee would be too bitter for me. If you like coffee, I definitely recommend getting this. The coffee had a slight nutty undertone and was honestly a pleasant surprise.
Be sure to bring yen as they do not accept...
Read moreThis is a small restaurant off of a busy road in Fussa. There are about 3 tables, 3 counter seats, 1 table that requires you to sit on pillows and take your shoes off and 1 table outdoors.
They serve lunch and dinner. Cuisine is a mix between Thai and Jamaican. Food is delicious. I normally get the jerk chicken lunch special which comes with a spring roll, chicken, peas and rice, and Cole slaw. They also have jerk shrimp and pork to include other things.
You need to get there early to get a seat though since it fills up quickly. Especially for lunch. Also they do to go orders so you can call in and pick up.
They do not accept US cards, yen only.
If you park at the hospital they will validate by giving you yen to pay if you show the parking ticket.
I always get outstanding service here and the food is always well prepared. Recommend...

A lunch set includes a spring roll appetizer, which was really fresh and tasty, especially with the sweet chilli sauce it comes with. I had the jerk chicken with rice and peas. It was simple and nothing fancy, but it was comforting and delicious, and the homemade chilli sauce it comes with has a nice hot kick to it. My only gripe though, is that there aren't many peas in the "rice and peas" to really justify it being called as such. The chai I had after the meal was great, it was sweet, but not too sweet, warming and fragrant from whatever spices were used. Service was subdued; I didn't receive much of a welcome as I entered the restaurant, in fact the guy looked surprised to see me as he...
