I have mixed feelings about this place. I have tried to go here many times but it’s always packed and they don’t allow you to line outside so you don’t disturb people living close by. That being said, once I was able to finally secure a spot (cafe time 10:00-17:00) everything was a bit underwhelming. Don’t get me wrong, the bakery and the coffe were extremely good! I think their bakery is worth more than their coffee: they have a variety of cakes that I have rarely seen in cafes so if you want to order something to take out it’s 100% worth it. For the coffee, I don’t understand the review saying they had the best latte here since I can name at least 3 places that make better coffee and are walking distance… The service was ok: once inside everything was pretty quick but the other times when I couldn’t walk in, the clerk didn’t seem to care much about people outside. I got the impression that being a popular spot, they don’t really care much since it’s always going to be full of people anyway. Again, food/drink wise everything was good but definitely not worth the adventure lol If you manage to get a spot here first try you won’t be disappointed. If not, don’t let fomo get you, there are plenty of places around that are just as good if not better :) There are many places in Tokyo where I was happy to have waited because in the end it felt worth it, this time it felt good for trying but not enough to come back or...

During my second visit to Japan, my Japanese friend said that he was very curious about this restaurant and wanted to try it. We made a reservation for a dinner. When we arrived at the restaurant, the waiter told us that our table was upstairs and took us upstairs and told us that the orders we had placed would arrive in an hour. We ordered pasta, salad, beef, fries to share and two glasses of wine. It was incredibly dark inside, so dark that it was difficult to see the person in front of me. We waited hungrily in the dark for the food to arrive for a very long time. Not only us, but all the other customers were waiting too. Then one of our orders served and we couldn't believe our eyes. The portions were incredibly small. Each of the rest of our order was brought to the table at half an hour's Decile. We waited for hours for food that was absolutely not delicious. We also paid £80 for such poor service and food. Then we had to eat somewhere else because we left a restaurant that we had paid so much money for hungry. It's a great shame. In a country where there is such good food, this restaurant is a great shame. I definitely do not recommend it. Btw, the other customers were sleeping when we were leaving...

The sweets were average and overpriced. We went for the cheesecake, but they didn’t have it that morning. So we got the carrot cake and the lemon loaf cake. The carrot cake didn’t have so much flavour, it was just mainly sweet. The lemon cake was quite dry and sad. Their special drink of the day simply tasted like sugar. The staff was not the nicest, they had an attitude and as I got up to take a picture of our table (I was literally standing beside our table, and only photographing the food) one of them told us we could only take pictures while sitting down. I felt like a disobedient kid in middle school lol. Note: our table was on an upper level, no one was even around, so we were not bothering anyone. Anyway, that’s their policy! The vibe and the interior are nice, so I’m being generous with 3 stars because I still have not tried their cheesecake. Will I come back for it? Nah, not if the staff keeps having...

This cafe was truly a pleasurable experience for me, the almost all-woman staff are great at making anybody who walks in the cafe feel comfortable and welcomed. I wish I knew Japanese and could work here lol they vibes made me feel right at home and they treated me with such respect and kindness! I've been to this cafe twice and every single time I'm greeted with the smell of fresh baked goods and friendly-faces. If the owner of this cafe sees this review, please hire me lol I don't know much about coffee-making but I bet the staff would be super sweet at training me lol. This is like the cutest and nicest environment I've been in since I've arrived in Tokyo!
