I recently moved to the Tatekawa area in Sumida-ku and was searching for authentic Indian and Nepali food with a homely atmosphere. I’m so glad I found Fulbari Restaurant—this place is a hidden gem!

I tried their veg momo, curry, and naan, and was blown away by the flavor. As a vegetarian, their special combo set was one of the best meals I’ve had outside India or Nepal—pure, authentic taste with a unique blend of Nepali, Indian, and Japanese vibes.

The real magic lies in the hospitality. The owner and chef are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and kind-hearted. Their warmth and care reminded me of the true Nepali hospitality we often miss abroad. You instantly feel like part of the Fulbari family.

The place is clean, cozy, and perfect for daily meals, family dinners, or date nights. It’s just a short walk from Kikukawa Station, making it super convenient.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I visited Phulbari Restaurant – Tatekawa Branch during my trip from Nepal on a tourist visa, hoping to enjoy authentic Nepali and Indian cuisine — and it absolutely exceeded my expectations!

The cheese naan with butter paneer curry was outstanding – soft, cheesy, and perfectly matched with a rich, flavorful curry. I also tried the momo, and it tasted just like the real Nepali momo back home – juicy, well-spiced, and incredibly satisfying.

The restaurant has a calm, spiritual atmosphere that’s ideal for both family meals and couples. The owners, Madan Bhandari and Suna Bhandari Kharel, were warm and welcoming, adding a true Nepali touch to the experience.

無性にカレーが食べたくなる、そんな日はないだろうか。 この日がまさにカレー脳の日で、体が欲しているのはクセのあるカレーだ。

スマホで調べてみると、周辺にインドカレー屋はこの店しかない。 迷う余地はない。さっそくその店に向かった。

海外料理を思わせる看板の色使い。どこか温かみがある。 ドアを開けると賑やかな声が飛び交う。ほぼ満席じゃないか。 一人で来店したのが功を奏し、何とか席に着くことができた。

～本日のオーダー～ スペシャルフルバリランチセット：1,350円

色々と惹かれるメニューはあったが、2種のカレーにチキンが付く豪華なセットを注文。 ドリンク１杯も付いてくるようで、ラッシーをチョイス。 辛さを和らげてくれる甘いラッシーは、どの店でも頼む必須アイテムだ。

お腹をしっかり空かせ、準備は万端。 しかし、15分経過してもラッシーすら出てこない。 混んでいるとはいえ、これは...。結局、20分ほど経ったころプレートが到着した。

～食レポ～ ナンが来ないので、仕方なくまずライスからいただく。 カレーはマトンとキーマを選択。

どちらのカレーも美味い。野菜の食感や味もしっかり感じられる。 あと一声コクが欲しいが、気軽に立ち寄れる店としては十分なクオリティだ。 中辛を注文したが、あと１段階辛くてちょうど良いかもしれない。

5分ほど遅れてナンが到着。 おかわりが無料のため、満席のこの日は焼きが全く追いついていないようだ。 このナンがとても美味い。 ほんのりハチミツのような甘さが口に広がり、小麦の風味が食欲を更に刺激する。 カレーが無くても、おやつとして何枚でも食べられそうだ。

ただ、いつまで経ってもドリンクが届かない。 穏やかで人の良さそうな店員さんを急かすのは胸が痛むが、 喉が渇くので2度催促してようやくラッシーが到着。 これも安定に美味い。

これだけ美味いのでナンをおかわりしたいところだが、時間がかかりそうなので諦めて退店。 まぁ、腹八分目ということで良しとしよう。

オーダー取りに提供、会計にドリンク作り。 満席のランチタイムにこれをフロア1人で回すのは、流石に厳しくないか。

もう少し空いた時間帯に利用すると、もっと満足度は高くなりそう。 またカレー脳の際には利用させてもらおう。...
