We booked this as soon as we learned that we couldn’t get tickets for the Last Sunday sumo tournament. It was a laid back atmosphere and our sumo wrestlers of the day were Kuma and Jumbo. They are just the sweetest and if you have kids in your party they go out of their way to make your kids feel special. For ex: they would pretend to fall onto and hold onto the kid as they get thrown out of the ring or they would put the kid on their shoulder in group photo. Very good energy overall, our chef that day also came out to cheer on his wrestler colleagues.

You get to go up and try pushing the wrestlers, or put on the sumo suit and try to go for a fun “match”. They put on a good show and it is a good mix of serious sumo wrestling with some comedy thrown in. Very cute and lighthearted.

I enjoy the food as well, although I wish they gave me the option to opt for more chanko. Their tanaka chanko soup is amazing and I’m not big on fried pork cutlet, their tonkatsu is delicious though. Would be 100% willing to pay more for chanko in the portion size of the...

We had an incredible experience at Yokuzuna Tonkatsu! From booking to arrival and seating, everything was smooth and professional. The meals were fantastic and prepared by the sumo themselves. We learned that younger sumo wrestlers often cook for their group, and many of them are skilled chefs or even own restaurants after retiring from the sport. You could definitely taste the quality and care in the food.

The team did an amazing job blending education and entertainment. The sumo wrestlers shared their rich history, showcased their athletic abilities, and even demonstrated their comedic skills in a way that was enjoyable for everyone. They were incredibly kind, taking the time to offer a hands-on sumo experience for anyone who was interested and even posing for photos with guests.

There are also some great items and shirts for sale, and they made our 20th wedding anniversary extra special with thoughtful acknowledgments. Visiting Yokuzuna Tonkatsu truly became a highlight of our trip to Tokyo. We highly recommend this experience to anyone...

One of my favorite experiences when visiting Tokyo! We booked our tickets through Viator and really the price when you consider your meal plus the sumo experience is well worth the price. The food was delicious for starters. Then after lunch the sumo experience starts. The commentator does a good job explaining the art of sumo and its rules. Afterwards the sumo wrestlers do a few matches and then give the audience a chance to actually take on the wrestlers, fat suits and all, though they’re easy on the participants. Of course I had to get in the ring and try myself. I thought I might be a worthy opponent, but I was sorely mistaken. After he had his fun with me he tossed me down like nothing. I may have lost but I had a good time! They made sure that all of the little kids “won” which was cute. After that, you’re welcomed to get your pictures with the sumo wrestlers. There’s a little merch table at the exit to check out if you’re so inclined. They even had a shirt my size! All in all, it was a blast and something unique to do when...

Today has been an amazing day including watching Sumo wrestlers and eating the food they would have as a meal. This included meats, veg and broth. Incredible food to eat followed by ice cream! Sumos on average eat 10k calories a day. The tables surround a sumo ring. We were then given a demo of typical training, techniques for sumo wrestling and the dos and dont's whilst competing. This was followed by a demo and then the opportunity to join in, I had to take part as when else will you get the chance to, I went against Jo, a retired sumo who reached rank 4 of 600. He was an absolute unit, I was pushing into him and he was just messing about with me, he was also strong as anything. But I did best him (with some help!) Finally my friend and I and I got to have a picture with them. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone! As it was so much fun with great hosting and food. The building itself was close to Kikukawa Station.
