Some of my favorite coffee. If you’re a fan of rich, dark coffee, this is a good spot.

Poem is more of a kissaten cafe than a trendy coffee shop, and they seem to have their focus on the beans. Step inside the shop and the first thing you’ll see is a table with their assorted roasts in clear plastic bags. The bags of their dark roasts are beautifully coated in coffee bean oil.

The biggest knock on Poem is that they allow unseparated smoking. I haven't been there really recently but I did go long after almost all restaurants and cafes banned it. Other than that, it’s a nice place to kick back and enjoy an...

I may have gone at a wrong timing but the master was irritated and was very harsh to the other staff. I had visited to relax and to read a book with a cup of coffee, but the atmosphere that the master was creating had a tension where I couldn't relax so unfortunately my experience was way below expectation. I didn't feel welcomed either when I opened their door, which also made my experience a bad one.

The coffe wasn't so bad but I don't think I'll return here. I guess it's not always like this as other people seem to have better experience here, so I guess it really was about timing but... well,...

20190811、お盆期間が始まった日曜日、早めのランチで女房と利用。 こちらのお店は結婚前（30年くらい前）よく利用しましたが、最近はほとんど利用していませんでした。 サンドイッチやトースト系とコーヒーのセットを注文。セットで千円を少しオーバー。 ファストフードなどに比べると高いですが、食べ物もコーヒーも美味しいというかちゃんとしています。内心「今ではコーヒーのお店が増えたから、セットで出てくるコーヒーなんて大差ないだろう」と思っていましたが、大差というかはっきりとした差がありました。 当日次の予定の関係で少しゆっくりさせてもらいました。ゆっくりしてもいい雰囲気なお店です。 喫煙可のお店なので、それが許せない人は利用しない方がいいです。最近は喫煙者も減ったからか、当日は遠くの席の人が少し吸っていただけでした。周りのお客様は中高年の女性がほとんどで非喫煙者でした。お盆期間始まりの日曜...
