Samurai Coffee Shop is a true gem in the heart of Tokyo. Located just a short walk from JR Kameido Station, this coffee shop has been serving up delicious coffee for over 40 years.
When you enter Samurai Coffee Shop, you're immediately transported to a different time and place. The walls are adorned with samurai armor and swords, and the air is filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. There are 10 rocking chairs at the counter, and the rest of the seating is taken up by cozy chairs and tables.
The coffee at Samurai Coffee Shop is made with care and attention to detail. They use only the finest beans, and they roast them in-house. Their drip coffee is a must-try, and their cold brew coffee is also very popular.
In addition to coffee, Samurai Coffee Shop also serves a variety of teas, pastries, and light meals. They also have a selection of liquor, so you can enjoy a drink with your coffee or meal.

The beef stew is really tasty, the grapefruit craft beer is delicious, crispy, and bright.
One of my personal favorite orders is the Irish coffee. It comes HOT (watch out) and I like that. It ought to come hot.
But the best part, somehow, is the service. The staff are spirited and accommodating. The master of the house is also a master of aikido - giving stock to the katana that line the walls - and he’s personable, kind, and a total people pleaser. His energy emanates with the staff as well. This store is special and it really makes Kameido special.
Did I mention that the price is...
