Sukiya Akebonobashi — Restaurant in Tokyo

Absolutely delightful chain Gyudon in a quiet neighborhood. We went at 7:30am in the morning and it was silent with plenty of room to sit and eat. By the end of our breakfast, it started to pick up a little more, but the dining crowd moves in and out quickly.

I had a garlic beef bowl that was hot, spicy, and juicy. An umami bomb of flavors.

For any western visitors who are unfamiliar with a place like this. It was very easy to navigate. You go in and take a seat anywhere that’s available. Order from a tablet (which supports other languages), then your meal will be brought to you. As soon as you finish, you bring the receipt up to the counter and check out with the attendant. Like many chains, Credit Card is accepted here. Very little need to interact with any language barriers.
