This is a very basic accomodation that's for people who just want a place to sleep. While it is advertised as room enough for 4 or 5, it's a very far stretch. 3 is comfortable. 5, which we were, gets crowded very fast. In fact, while there are 4 beds and a futon for sleeping, there's only a small table with 2 chairs for sitting. Be aware that the arrangment of each apartment is different. While the advertised pictures show a separate bathroom, our apartment had a separate room for a toilet and a separate room for a shower. The bathroom sink was in the same room as the kitchen sink. Pros: subway is super close taking you to shinjuku station; in room laundry was great for dealing with sweaty clothes from hot tokyo summer (no dryer so be prepared to make room for the drying rack in an already cramped space); lawson is next door; ta-q-bin service is 2 min walk away; mobile wifi access point is provided Cons: small space for 4 or 5; awkward room arrangement; small flies/gnats in room during hot summer; our units windows faced the wall of the...
Read moreThis is a house in a great location milked for its short term rental returns. Love the location: Train is really close, access to everywhere in Tokyo is good. There’s a few convenience stores and a to of restaurants around the corner. Internet is super fast: there’s a home setup with a google mesh shared across multiple flats. Internet was fast and stable. the place is crowded: I had a 1 room studio that was supposed to sleep 4. It does sleep 4, but this is with beds just added everywhere. There’s only 3 chairs in the and there’s not anywhere where one could sit down with 4 people comfortably. This place is to sleep and go out during the day, not hang out. Maintenance is poor: the shower has mould, the tap in the sink is just loosely hanging in its place, the kitchen unit itself has seen better days and a splintered piece of plastic on the kitchen unit did rip my pants just leaning against the cabinets (remember there are not enough chairs?)
Overall good basis to explore Tokyo, but have low expectations for the...
Read moreNice little apartment in Shinjuku. It's not too far from anything major since it's close to public transit. It's in a building right next to an animal clinic and a Lawson's.
Our studio apartment was able to fit five of us comfortably in 4 twin beds and one fold out bed. It had a small fridge, kitchenette, washing machine, drying rack, and TV. Wifi was included, though it's limited to 3GB a day.
It was clean and cozy, and our beds had heated mattresses, which was a really neat detail. The cherry on top was that the owners had left a handwritten note with several cooling pads wishing us a nice stay and that we use them for our tired legs. It was so sweet and considerate since we really had been walking a lot.
100% recommended. I have no...
