Can't comment on the beer as I didn't order that nor do I drink beer, so this review is purely about the food: I was torn between 1 and 2 stars. Pity you can't give half stars as 1.5 would've been perfect. Disappointing is the word that springs to mind. Burger wasn't terrible, but it was very greasy with roughly ground meat - fell apart easily as you ate with obvious chunks of fat. Alright flavour overall but the grease coming off it and the weirdly cut burger bun made it difficult and messy to eat. I ordered the egg cheese burger and, as well as the egg and cheese, it came with sliced pickles, tomato, lettuce, and some chopped black olives on it. States BBQ sauce on the menu but that didn't seem to be put on the burger, only mayo. My partner had a normal burger. Both were expensive for what it was especially as it was with a extremely tiny potion of fries. We shared a pretzel as well. The pretzel was nice, just over priced. Drinks were ¥100 off due to their lunch time offer, but even with that discount they weren't exactly filled to the top! We did ask for slightly less ice (as Japan tends to go crazy for the stuff) but we didn't expect to get half a drink, especially at that price! I pointed out that my drink seemed to be lacking and just got an apology... Better than nothing, but... How about putting more drink in it?? Eventually got offered more ice... Defo didn't want more ice as I'd asked for less for a reason, perhaps more milk would've been a better option?!? Ah well. ¥480 for a small glass of iced late - tasted ok, but wouldn't bother for that price/size again. Service was slow; seemed confused and disorganised (repeated order multiple times). Although they seemed to know English and tried to use it. I don't plan...

Just had an awesome time at Tokyo Ale House in Ikebukuro! The vibe here is super chill and welcoming, and it’s really English-friendly, which made ordering and chatting with the staff really easy.

I tried a few of their sour beers, and wow—they were so good! Perfect balance of tart and refreshing, and honestly some of the best I’ve had. If you’re into craft beer, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Overall, it’s a great spot to hang out, whether you’re solo or with friends. Super relaxed, good drinks, and a cool atmosphere. If you're in the area,...

Had so much fun in this place and got proper educated on Tokyo's finest beer! This place needs no further introduction, just go and ask for the whiskey infused chicken wings and grab as much beer as you can. If you don't believe me then just head over to YouTube channel Junk Food Japan and watch for yourself.
