Triceratops Yutenji — Restaurant in Tokyo

Triceratops food is pretty good, but their delivery service through Uber is unreliable at best, and I even suspect intentionally bad.

I placed at order at 11:30am on a Tuesday -- not exactly peak time -- and it's not almost 1pm and my food still hasn't left the shop or been made. This is not the first time that it's taken 1.5 - 2 hours for the food to be delivered, and there are plenty of comments on Google Reviews about this problem as well.

Unfortunately, Uber will still charge the cost of the food for canceling the order -- 3550 yen. So now I'm in a situation where I have to decide if I want to just be out the money, or to eat something else and move on with my day.

I am starting to suspect that Triceratops Yutenji ignores Uber orders like this on purpose, knowing full well that people will get sick of waiting (maybe need to go back to work, maybe just get tired and order from and cancel the order with them still getting paid. If this happened once, I would understand it, but it happens far too often to be coincidence. I also question if people should trust the food from a restaurant with such poor, unethical...

Stayed in Yūtenji for 7 days and ate here 3 times (our stay isn’t over yet so we may go back again!). Small shop—3 tables/seats 8, but we have never had to wait for a spot. Lots of options, vegetarian included. The staff are nice, the music is great, and the food is so delicious and really affordable. Burrito might seem small but it is very filling. Tacos have lots of fresh lettuce and tomato which is nice when traveling because I feel vegetables can easily get a bit far and few between. Very good Tex-Mex place. I tried their Weekly Burrito Set, including a burrito (Popeye Meat) and onion rings (you can choose between these and fries), for ¥946, and a Coca-Cola for ¥187. The burrito was delicious, a great mix of meat and spinach. You can eat there or order takeout. It’s a popular place for takeouts, so you might have to wait a bit to get your order ready (it took 15 minutes to get mine prepared). If you eat there, you’ll enjoy good psychedelic rock music by bands like Jefferson Airplane and The Who. Good place....
