Do not go for dinner!
Wakabado is cute little establishment, in what look like a renovated old wooden house. The 2nd floor has intimate lighting (thats euphamism for dark; so dark in fact we had to use our phone to read the menu....), well decorated, cozy.
The four of us were there for a friday dinner. It took for ever for the waiter to come and take our order. Then the drinks / food arrived one by one, which means one of us was either waiting for the food to arrive or had finish before the others....The food was horrible, barely palatable. The "pizza" I ordered looked like a piece of bread with tomato sauce and melted cheese. My friends were also unhappy with their main dishes. The desserts however, were really nice.
The waiter was not totally rude, it seems he just did not care, and he was evidently totally incompetent as a waiter: slow, unattentive, not talkative, a real creep. Lastly, there were big mistakes on our bill. The lady was courteous and amended the bill, but the waiter did not even apologize. Surreal! One of the worst experience i have received in Japan.
I went with my friend to eat here, and honestly, I have quite a few experiences with local restaurants with this vibe in Japan, and I am totally impressed by the food here. The space here is a bit small and lacks light. The food is delicious and quite healthy. The menu layout is simple. The staff here speaks quite gently. I think I will come back to eat many more times. The only thing I was dissatisfied here is that there are too many decorations with human heads, I'm not scared, but I feel like those heads are looking at me. I'm a tarot reader, so I can sense a few things here. If those decorations could be changed, it would be...
