I'm an avid jazz fan who lives a couple of stations away from this café, so I was delighted to discover what appeared to be an excellent jazz kissa on my doorstep. First the good news. The interior is small but meticulously laid out and appointed with lots of wood. A counter, and two tables for couples who want a discreet conversation. Jazz records line the walls along with a number of tastefully arranged photos of jazz musicians like Bill Evans, Coltrane, Miles etc. They even have a quote from Thelonious Monk etched in metal next to the cash register! Audio: You'll hear both digital and analogue sources, I was pleased to see they use the same Kenwood high end turntable I have at home. The amp and cd player appears to be some obscure bespoke Japanese brand but the sound quality is great, and at a very comfortable level. The owners, a couple in their late 30's, have very broad tastes along the jazz spectrum covering fusion and jazzy hip hop as well as the hard bop you hear in most jazz kissa. On my first visit they D'Angelo's 'Voodoo'. Lovers of the latest Japanese jazz are well catered to also. Food/coffee: Again a lot of effort goes into quality and presentation. The coffee beans are roasted on the premises and are the beverage is made and served with care. The afogatto is especially good. Prices are commensurate with the quality. Here's the problem: The opening hours are somewhat unreliable.

10/10 hole in the wall If you love Jazz and Organic food with a wide selection of coffee then this is your stop! The owners are very friendly and patient with us Americans lol. They spoke good English to understand us and were able to hold a conversation along with some of their recommendations. Worth the wait when they opened around 10am. They have excellent veggie options but the croque monsieur stole the show. Beautifully crafted with organic salad and steamed cabbage. I ended up trying the veggie curry dish and it was pretty yummy. Coffee was house blend and delicious. I had to get the ice cream and create an affogato

Hello from Sweden! I can greatly recommend this café. The atmosphere was fantastic, jazz music playing and cozy design combined with great service, everything being prepared with attention to detail and cool temperature. Had a great toast, salad and coffee. A wide assortment of different coffee beans and forms of coffee was available. Owners were very welcoming and had good English and seemed happy to converse. Tomo arigato for a splendid...
