The lady who was serving that day had a reserved manner, but also had the superpower of being attentive, kind and considerate; I was very well looked after. The building is old, but was cozy and welcoming, and had a lot of character to it. There's the option of sharing a table on the floor or sharing a dining table. There's also shower facilities available next to the toilet. Their menu is centered around healthy, plant-based home cooking, not pro, but definitely made with care and consideration. Most of their menu has English translations. Water is available on the table and is self-service. There's a file containing information about the restaurant and how it came to be. We went here today and we absolutely enjoyed our visit. It was quite a walk from Hibarigaoka station but the way to the cafe is absolutely relaxing and very local. The cafe itself looked like something straight from a ghibli movie and they have decent menu with English wordings here and there, at least enough for you to understand what you are getting. Maki san was also very good in English and was kind enough to strike a conversation with us. We went with our dog so we took the terrace seat but it also had a good view of the river. Service and food were great! It is definitely a hidden gem in Tokyo and we would love to go back. I also enjoyed the unique tea sets they have and I think using cool dishware elevates the dining experience. I like that the noodles of the ramen were also handmade. The cafe has a homey and friendly vibe, it is definitely unique. They also have homemade dog treats!
