We recently visited Chikurin Park, motivated by my wife's desire to take some beautiful pictures among the bamboo. After some consideration, we decided to trek to the west side since we were heading to Sunshine City afterward. While there might have been closer parks in Tokyo, we opted for this one to enjoy a quieter atmosphere.
The park itself is lovely, with a serene ambiance perfect for capturing those Instagram-worthy shots. However, a word of caution: the mosquitoes were quite persistent during our visit. If you're planning to go, make sure to bring mosquito spray to keep those little pests at bay!

Read moreThis bamboo grove isn't that large, but it has a nice atmosphere and every time I've been here, it's basically empty. Just sit on the bench and enjoy the quietness and let the touch of nature heal you after a long week.
If you want to eat something, there are tables you can use. No trash cans though, so be prepared to carry any plastic wrappings etc. back with you.
