California Restaurant — Restaurant in Tomisato

I have stayed 3 months in Japan. Trying all sorts of different foods, local specialties and unusual dishes. Arriving at my hotel I decided to try out the hotel buffet (since there is not much else around the area nearby). Biggest mistake of my food trip. They charge 5000 yen, and the food is soggy, luke warm, tasteless. There is not a great variety of dishes. The crab legs are extremely salty. It has been my only disappointing meal in Japan. If possible avoid eating here and grab a snack at the 7-11 konbini instead. Truly...

The coffee bar and wait staff of the restaurant were great. They understood English well and helped me decide on my meal when I took food up to the room for a late night dinner. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. They had a wide variety of different foods from rice and noodles, eggs and cereal, cold meats and cheeses. I don’t recommend to try their buffet. The images shows on their website and hotel flyers are extremely misleading customers. I recently stayed for a night and the restaurant market for New Year buffet. It looks like a Sushi type of food but at the end it turns out that I couldn’t even saw any salmon at all.
