Renma Toyama Ekimae — Restaurant in Toyama

Bad customer service and insensitive staff. We made a reservation to this izakaya to celebrate our anniversary last May 29th (Saturday). After entering, no one was at the counter to greet us. We waited for 5 minutes before finally someone came. But before that one staff came and IGNORED us. Then after asking if we have a reservation she didn't ask under what name which further delayed our sitting.

And the restaurant isn't exactly full but we were placed in a smaller room with small and open partition. So no one care about covid! We reserved this restaurant because we wanted a private area. Worse is that we were assigned next to a group of college drunk girls who were so loud and rude! They thought they owned the place. I felt like I'm in a university drinking out session.

I wasn't really happy at all. The food was ok and my partner said the fish is good. But menu is limited and portions are small not worth the price. Service is fast, so that's good we made sure to eat fast too to get out as soon as possible and transfer to a different restaurant. But all other aspects were soooo bad! I was really disappointed. We made the reservation and all but really, staff are incompetent and rude.

At the end, I complained to the staff because after we went out it was so quiet outside of that small room that they placed us! And other private areas are empty! So why did they place us there?! We complained and received NO APOLOGY!

We ended up moving to the restaurant next to them, the yakitori place in the same floor is way better.

母との富山旅行で、半個室を予約し楽しみにして伺いました。着くと「半個室は２時間ですが、カウンターに変更すれば時間制限ありません。」と提案されましたが、母と2人なので「２時間で大丈夫です。」と伝えるもしつこくカウンターを勧められました。何度も２時間で足りると言っているのに、店員に「私は後出しが嫌いなので」とこちらが時間オーバーする気満々のような言い方までされ、その時点ですでにかなり失礼なのでお店を変えたいと思いましたが、母が疲れているためそこからお店を探すのも大変と思い、半個室にて食事をしました。 メニューの土鍋ご飯が美味しそうだったので量を聞いたら「40分以上かかるためお断りしてます」と。最初に注文すれば40分かかっても時間的には十分余裕があるのに「忙しい時間で」「お断りしている」と。こちらは量を聞いているのにそれを繰り返されました。そんなに注文されたくないならメニューを置かなければよいのでは？そしてメニューのノドグロの土鍋ご飯はやってないと。 もう土鍋ご飯はやめ、ノドグロの半身焼きを頼みましたが、届いたノドグロは表面はこんがり焼けていたけれど少しお箸で開くと中は生。再度焼き直してもらいましたがそれも「こちらは規定通りの時間焼きましたが、ご希望とのことなので」とまたこちらのわがままのような言い方。焼き魚を注文して中が生だったら謝りませんか？ あら汁も最初に母が頼んだ一杯がネギたっぷり盛られて味も良かったので、追加で注文しましたが次はネギが盛られてなく汁も少なく... 漬け魚の出汁ごはん？も写真と全然違うし、2人で1万3000円以上の支払いでしたが全体的に雑な扱いをされ、せっかくの旅行のマイナス点となりました。割高で態度悪く不快...

First, food wasn't up to our expectations for the price they charged. Do note there is a seat charge for 400yen per person. Otherwise, our orders were messed up few times.

Service was acceptable. I won't recommend this place...
