This place has a really good vibe to it. The decorations, the posters, the floor tiles, and even the low seating just preserves an atmosphere from the 90s. It’s really cool amongst the bread and Makeine merchandise. The melonsoda is good, and it tastes like the kind of drink you’d want to come back for. It comes with complementary peanuts that are very flavorful. Come here for the bread. The anpan is a classic. Docking a star for the service. The place is cool, but the staff was not accommodating per se. we wanted to have a good time, but it just felt really tense like we weren’t welcome. Perhaps that’s just how they are with foreigners. Still it’s worth a visit since it’s really close to the station anyway, and the food is legitimately good.

「ローカルパンマニアなら当然知っている」 愛知県尾張地方在住。 2021/4 利用。名古屋以外は特に行かないものだ。特に豊橋は高速ICからも離れているし、名古屋からも遠い。豊橋は何度かサラッと行った程度。 今回、マイブームの街ブラ電車旅で訪れた。 豊橋に来た理由は、チャオ、路面電車、そしてボン千賀に行く事。ボン千賀はローカルパンや昭和レトロマニアなら誰もが知る。 建物の雰囲気、ボン千賀の字体、店内、全て昭和オシャレでまとめられている。 あいにく、パピロは売り切れで購入は出来なかったが、カステラ、レモンクッキー、レモンパン、ラスクを購入した。 カステラは蜜が底部に沈殿して、とてもしっとりしていて、かなり美味しい。 今回、代表のパピロが居ないのが悔やまれるが、味の方は、まぁ、現代のこだわり抜かれたパンには到底敵わない。レモンクッキーはボソボソとした口当たり。まぁ、名前は違うが「デセール」の一種かなと。 レモンパンのパンは全くふんわりではない。 しかし、このパン達は昔から変わらない味。それが嬉しい。私はとうに40を過ぎたが、ガキの頃はパンはこんな感じだった。 昔はイチゴやトマトはとても酸っぱく嫌いだった。しかし現在はとにかく甘く美味しい。 時代は変わる。 変わらぬ味を維持するとても大変な事だ。流行りに流されず、貫く姿勢に皆惹きつけられるのではないだろうか。

The bread was okay, and the shop had cute Makeine decorations, but the staff weren’t friendly and the quiet atmosphere felt uncomfortable — like they didn’t want to be disturbed. I wouldn’t recommend visiting just for the Makeine theme; it might ruin...
