Our first meal in Japan and a fantastic experience! A small traditional izakaya for drinks and snacks, with little booths and tatami seating. The menu is entirely in Japanese and largely handwritten, but was easy enough for us to use with Google Translate on our phones. The staff was very kind and accommodating of the language barrier.
