Japanese Seafood Restaurant-Minatoya — Restaurant in Tsuruga

Found this place by chance, but ended up having one of the best place to have a seafood bowl (kaisen don).

The fish were very fresh! I ordered the honmagurodon (I think it translates to Today's Tuna Bowl) while my wife had the Salmon Bowl. Those were one of the freshest tuna and salmon we've ever had! The price is acceptable considering the high quality and the portion they offer.

The place itself was excellent! It had a cozy ambient and was very clean. We were in a group of 10 people but we had no problem to find a space. I think we were very lucky because we came just an hour before closing time.

I loved the service here, especially the lady who was very cheerful and kind. We were also pleasantly surprised there was one staff who can speak english really well.

Although the salmon don was not in the menu, i ask the staff and he can make it for me. So happyy!! The salmon has good quality. Just a recommendation if you have Indonesian guest they usually like salmon.

I also loved the fact you have warm cooked menu like tempura not just the raw ones. So everyone in my family can be accomodated.

The ambience is good, and the food is great! They also have staff that can speak english.

Good and tasty seafood don restaurant, located next to the fish market and port. Came at around 10am on a Sunday, only a few customers. Plenty of seating, table and counter. Ordered the “plum” seafood don for ¥2,620. Good assortment of seafood, and comes with a small side of grilled squid, miso soup and tea. Tasty and hit the spot....
