The Caspian restaurant in Tsurumi-Ku, Yokohama is a good Iranian restaurant. The menu offers a good variety of authentic Persian dishes bursting with flavor and tradition. The staff are friendly and polite. For the main course, Koobideh kebabs, expertly grilled to perfection and served with fragrant saffron rice. The vegetarian option could be flavorful eggplant stew, Mirzaghasemi a famous dish from the northern region of Iran. Caspian is conveniently accessible from Namamugi Station, just a 15-minute walk away. Parking is also available close to the restaurant. Persian dishes usually served with side dishes, so do not miss trying the salad,...
Read moreEnglish review after the Persian. ........... ........ I've been to several Persian/Iranian restaurants in Japan, and I can honestly say that Caspian is the clear superior among them in all aspects. In terms of interior decor, the restaurant is indeed like an excellent Persian restaurant in Iran. Unlike many other Persian restaurants in Japan, you immediately see a modern and chic atmosphere as soon as you enter. The other Persian restaurants I've been to in Japan feel like cheap, 3rd-grade tea houses in Iran. All of the food items were delicious, had nice portions, were garnished beautifully, and had decent price points. We got the Mix Kabab plate (consisting of Koobideh, Joojeh, and Chenjeh), two portions of rice, Mast e Moosir, Bread and Doogh, all of which were tasty, fresh, and nice and the only thing worth mentioning is that I wish the rice were Persian; but, that's hard to obtain in Japan so I can't be too hard on the restaurant. Overall, I recommend this place to anyone interested in trying out some Persian food for the first time; look no further than Caspian. You won't regret it, and you'll have some...
Read moreI had my hopes really up when I found this place. At last, an authentic Arabic restaurant! So, I tried what I have been craving for so long which is the Kebab Kobideh.
Though I think the taste has been already adjusted to suit the Japanese palette. It's a bit bland and lacks the strong flavor of a usual arabic restaurant has. There is also no garlic/yogurt sauce to match it.
I ordered the Caspian Chai as well. I was expecting a milk tea with the description of the drink as "Chai" but it's just plain tea. No lassi...
