Oka no Ue no Pan-ya — Restaurant in Yokohama

A very good place but a few things prevent it from being a 5.

Parking is good with having a temporary lot in the back. Slightly confusing to realize it's there if it's your first time visiting. To find it, continue down the unpaved drive, past the normal parking lot. Some bread, such as their savory options (Focaccia) were amazing. Others such as some of the sweeter ones were either okay, or unwieldy to eat because of their construction. Seating outside is nice, considering many bakeries have none but if it's a cold and windy day, there's little protection from elements or any outside heater. Staff are very polite, but their service at the register is quite slow, so a line of 10 customers may take 30 minutes to get through.

So, plan accordingly and you'll enjoy it! I do want to go back and try...

UK visitor. Saturday 12th October I saw this one tiktok two days before going. It is out the way. But you can see the love and care taken to make these baked goods.

This is a small building. Even though it was raining . There was quite a line. So it must be very popular with locals.

They treated everyone the same. Welcoming them in.

The building is small. Half of it is actually the preparation side. All the staff were busy constantly churning out more products. I believe they let in 4 groups in at a time . The baked goods looked amazing and tasted great.

There is a seating area outside. Even though it was lightly raining. The seats were not wet. So we took a chance to sit down and eat and we were fine. I think we were the only ones that did this.

Coming this bakery (11:30am )on our way from Hadano Omote Tanzawa to Tokyo, elite high class bakery shop up town ichigaoka. Quality and beautiful setting, large parking, out door sitting. After bought lots of foods and drinks for party of 4, we just sat down and one of the service lady came and told us sitting is for 30mins only. We came for coffee and enjoyed their shop. Not drive and come here for spend time . So it was offensive and un friendly, little rude as what their thought of customers. Bakery shop is located up hill by residential house. No one comes here to hang out or stay longer than need to. So pls let customers enjoy your place as their moods. Thank you Ps Always wish your guys be successful in business...
