TULLY'S COFFEE Coaska Bayside Stores Shop — Restaurant in Yokosuka

I was pleased to find this Tully's while visiting Yokosuka recently. My wife and I were staying in the hotel across the street, and we needed to find a place with good drip coffee. Well, this Tully's definitely fit the bill.

In my opinion, Tully's has surpassed Starbucks in the United States in regards to making what I consider to be the ultimate test of a coffee store - how good is their drip coffee. True to form, this Tully's nailed it. To be fair, there is a Starbucks that is close by, and we went there also because they opened earlier (0700 vs 0800). It should be said that the drip coffee at that Starbucks was also much better than what I get in the U.S.

The staff is wonderful - so polite and helpful, and some speak English. I particularly want to mention the woman with whom I had a few conversations, I believe her name is Eko (my apologies if I got that wrong). She spoke fluent English (with better grammar than the vast majority of Americans) because she had lived in Los Angeles for 20 years, and moved back to Yokosuka about a year ago. She was so helpful and friendly, and it was delightful chatting with her.

We will definitely get coffee here again when we return to this...

Not coming back here again. I asked for coffe with mug and didn't give me one because they don't have them but other customers are clearly drinking from one. Next they kicked my family away from me just because they are drinking another drink when I'm clearly drinking coffe and no one is with me....

If Tully's only opened at 7am, I'd be here every other day before heading into work. Coffee is much less bitter compared to other coffee shops. Inside is pretty spacious and the staff is always so kind...
