Our family had an amazing and relaxing breakfast here. The ambiance is vintage and chic, with decor that adds so much charm. The music was stellar for my millennial ears; Aretha, ABBA, Billy Joel, The Carpenters… it created such a nostalgic and comforting vibe.
We loved the breathtaking view of the ocean through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Between the music, the decor, and the scenery, the whole experience was incredibly soothing.
The food was incredible—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The two-person team running the cafe were warm and attentive, making us feel completely at ease.
I can’t recommend this place enough; it’s a must-visit if you’re in the area! Perfect for couples or a girls lunch out.
Side note: The café is located on the second floor and accessed via a spiral staircase, so it might not be ideal for those with mobility issues. Also, they don’t have high chairs or a menu for babies/small kids, so plan accordingly if you’re visiting with little ones. Keep in mind this is a small establishment and the ambiance is for customers to unwind and relax, so bringing small children who have big emotions or a lot of energy might not be the...
Read moreWe came here this morning on a US holiday. It was pretty busy and the owner was by herself. She already apologized upon walking in saying that we will be waiting a bit because all tables were occupied. We placed our order and took a seat.
Our coffee arrived at our table about 10 minutes after sitting down. My husband had an iced vanilla one I had a hot hazelnut one. They tasted great! Both came in disposable cups (plastic and paper). Wish they would have come in cups since we weren't doing take-out.
My husband also had a Philly Cheesesteak toastie and I had a Croque Madame. We both loved our toasties. They came with some salad on the side.
At the end, the owner came over to our table and offered us a coupon for a free drink next visit because of the wait times. This was so kind of her. I would have given 5 starts even without this gesture because the drinks, food and service...
Read moreI recently visited 89 Cafe, and I had a fantastic time! The place has a really cozy and modern vibe, making it a perfect spot to relax.
I ordered the Croque Monsieur and an iced latte, and both were amazing. The Croque Monsieur was deliciously cheesy and perfectly toasted. The iced latte was super smooth and refreshing. My girlfriend had the Croque Madame, which had a perfectly cooked egg on top, and she loved it. She also had an Americano, which she said was really flavorful.
The owner and the only staff at 89 Cafe was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The owner lady's pug was so very adorable, too. I hope she stays healthy and well.
I'll be sure to make many more visits to 89 Cafe. I low-key hope it were less popular because I have to really tune in to know when it's not...
