Bakery Otonariya — Restaurant in Yomitan

I had to write this review. Someone wrote an unfair and horrible review which sounded like a lazy spoiled whiner ranting; It is not a fair assessment of this bakery, its goods or staff. I live fairly close and shop here quite frequently. The early bird does get the worms; in this case, you get the freshest and most deliciously baked breads on island! They open at 8:00, sandwich loaves are ready at 9:00. I assure you, there are plenty of options, varieties and volume to choose from. They are scheduled to close at 6:30 p.m. but they will close when they sell out of goods... AND THEY DO. That's how wonderful this quaint bakery is.... and so is their entire staff. My wife and I went here before the beach to grab a light bite. We got their white bread(7/10), raisin bread(4/10), and curry bread(4/10) to be fair the curry bread is vegetarian and that’s not my normal style. But the other two breads while the white bread was delicious the raisin bread left a lot to be desired. My wife also thought that the music was a little too loud/too much. And while the workers weren’t mean they also weren’t too nice. Overall it’s your average experience nothing too great and nothing too bad. I did like the wood aspect of the bakery and if I was in the area again I’d go back and try a couple new breads maybe have a new opinion but for now it’ll be a 3...

Baked goods so soft you’ll want to take a nap on them! So soft, perfectly baked, beautifully crafted and so good. This will be a place I frequent.

The staff was so friendly and clearly incredibly professional with how clean the bakery is and how beautifully made everything is. Even visiting later in the afternoon we were able to grab some great stuff.

Yen only and parking is available right out front. Super well priced, especially for the quality.
